CEOs of
All Non-Life Insurance Companies
Dear Sir,
This is further to our letter dated May 5, 2003 requiring submission of monthly premium data by all non-life insurance companies.
With a view to facilitating review of the performance of all general companies in the de-tariffed scenario, it has now been decided that all insurers shall furnish details of the premium as per the enclosed format. It may be mentioned that column nos. 9 and 10 have been added to capture details of the sum assured on the policies underwritten.
In the context of the special dispensation given to the public sector general insurance companies, vide our letter no.407/1/F&A/BNOS/236/Mar/06-07 dated 23 rd March, 2007 in cases where the companies are unable to furnish information within the stipulated timeframe, they may continue to submit data upto column no.9 in the first instance by the 15 th of the subsequent month followed by submission of the complete data by the end of the subsequent month. The public sector insurers are, however, advised to take steps to ensure compliance with the time limits as stipulated by the Authority.
In case of insurers who have already submitted their returns for the month of March, 2007, they are advised to re-submit the same as per the revised formats.
The soft copies of the format are being mailed to all insurers simultaneously.
Yours faithfully,
(C. R. Muralidharan)
