Details of Equity Holding Pattern of Insurance Companies

Authority vide its Circular No. IRDA/F&A/064/JAN/05 dated 12th January, 2005 and IRDA/CIR/F&A/073/FEB-05 dated 22nd February, 2005 had mandated all the insurers to submit the detail of the shareholding of the insurance company and the Indian promoter (s) of the insurance company in the prescribed format.

The prescribed format for the submission of the shareholding pattern is revised to capture the information about the pledge or any other encumbrance, if any created on the shares. The revised format is attached herewith. The revision in the format shall come into force with immediate effect and the reporting as per the revised formats shall start from the quarter ending 30th June, 2010.

All insurers are requested to take note of the above for compliance.
