In view of the vacancy caused by the retirement of Shri R. C. Sharma, on 20th June, 2003, it has been decided in terms of Section 64F of the Insurance Act, 1938, to nominate Shri Mathew Verghese, Member (Non-life), IRDA, to be the Chairman, till further orders, of the Executive Committee of the General Insurance Council of the Insurance Association of India.

This order takes effect forthwith.
