In view of the vacancy caused by the retirement of Shri H.O. Sonig, Member (Life), IRDA, on 31st December, 2002, it has been decided in terms of section 64F of the Insurance Act, 1938 that Member Shri P.A. Balasubramanian, Member(Actuary) of IRDA shall act as the Chairman, till further notification/order, of the Life Insurance Council of the Insurance Association of India incorporated in terms of Section 64A of the Insurance Act, 1938.
