With the Licensing of Third Party Administrators (Health Services)
in March 2002, consequent upon the notification of Insurance Regulatory
and Development Authority (Third Party Administrators – Health Services)
2001 on 17th September, 2001, the Authority has now decided
that the requirements in respect of Sub regulation 8 (4) (2) for passing
the Associateship Examination by CEO’s / CAO’s of the TPA’s conducted by
Insurance Institute of India stands extended from 16th September,
2003 to May 2004, when such examination will ordinarily be conducted
by the Institute.
However, there shall be no relaxation with respect to fulfillment
of requirements of Sub Regulation 8 (4) (3) in respect of 100 hours
training for CEO’s / CAO’s to be conducted
by ASCI.
All the TPAs are requested to take
note of this and take necessary action for compliance accordingly.
